You can search Swissreg for IP rights and publications. Use search operators if you want to find similar results too.

Two search masks are available in the database: 

• The IP rights search allows you to search for active and cancelled designs in Switzerland. 
• The publication search allows you to search for published register changes such as new registrations, renewals and cancellations.

You can save searches and monitor new publications. Please refer to the ‘Search results’ page.

When you search for one or more search terms, the following fields are searched for matches:

2. Application number

3. Design number

4. Owner

5. Representative

When searching for publications

1. Designation
2. IP right number (design number)
3. Publication details
4. Published remark
5. Owner
6. Representative

The search only produces results if the term or character string is found exactly as written. For example, if you search for photo, it will only find results for the word photo and not photos, photograph or photographer. If you want to find other spellings or similar terms, please use the  advanced search options.
 
If you use several search terms, the search results will contain at least one of these terms (default operator OR).

The search engine does not differentiate between upper and lower case letters.

Umlauts (ä, ö, ü) and other accents (e.g. à, ô, ç) are not taken into account by the search engine. This is also true if you use double quotation marks to search for exact word sequences. It therefore does not matter if you type umlauts or accents – a search for schön or schon will produce the same results. You cannot, however, use ae, oe or ue in place of ä, ö or ü.

The search engine does not recognise special characters. This includes the characters +  -   /  & !  (  ). Full stops and commas are not recognised.
