IP Basic Workshop
Get to grips with IP and IP rights in this compact workshop. In a small group, you’ll discuss key questions about trade marks, patents, designs and copyright.
If you already have some prior knowledge of patents, trade marks, designs or copyright, please take a look at our other workshops on in-depth topics.
If you’ve had a specific question relating to an IP right for a long time, please register for our IP Info service – also free of charge – to discuss it with a specialist in the relevant field.
However, if IP is new territory for you, this workshop will teach you the basics in no time. You’ll be introduced to the IP rights of trade marks, patents, designs and copyright, and find out your options for effectively protecting your innovations and creations. You can ask questions and benefit from the questions posed by the other participants.
Please note that this service is only available to residents of Switzerland.
Here are some typical questions for discussion:
-
When is an invention considered ‘novel’?
-
What can be patented?
-
How can you file a patent?
-
What’s a trade mark?
-
What can be protected as a trade mark?
Up to four people can participate in this free online course. You can also repeat the course if you wish. The workshop will take place if more than one person registers for the scheduled date.
