- Requests to divide an application or a trade mark, requests to withdraw or cancel an application or trade mark as well as to cancel or divide goods and service classes still need a signature and therefore may only be submitted via email as a PDF attachment.

- Confirmation of equivalence for repeat filings of biological material for a Swiss patent filing may NOT be sent via email. For EP and PCT patent applications, the respective organisation’s online application system must be used.
- Withdrawing a patent application, waiving a patent, partially waiving a patent, waiving an SPC as well as filing or rectifying the name of the inventor and waiving the mention of the inventor still require a signature and therefore may only be submitted via email as a PDF attachment.
