How SMEs can benefit from a design strategy
How do I develop a design strategy? At the Swiss Innovation Forum in Basel, the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI) is holding a breakout session on this topic.
Under the motto "Try", inspiring projects will be presented at the Swiss Innovation Forum (SIF) in Basel on 21 November. In addition to keynotes, participants can take part in breakout sessions and gain an insight into strategies and practical examples.
Anchoring design in your own SME
The IPI is also hosting a session as a main partner of the event. Design entrepreneur Wolfgang K. Meyer-Hayoz will show how companies can develop their own design strategy. Not only will the commercial importance of a design strategy be addressed, but also trends in design and design protection. Following this, a design strategy will be shown in practice with Martin Kuhl, Vice President Global Marketing & Sales Services at B. Braun Avitum AG, who will take a look at the design strategy of this medical technology company.
This is what you will take away from the session for your company:
1. You will view design from a holistic and strategic perspective.
2. You will be able to organise design sessions in your company and make your employees aware of the topic.
3. You will think and develop anticipatively and create "design value".
