The new Swissreg is in the starting blocks

In August, we announced that we would be relaunching Swissreg. Now we can reveal the date: on 11 November 2024, the modernised Swissreg will go live at the address www.swissreg.ch. This means that both the organ of publication and the IP rights databases will be available at the same address.

Using the ‘Publications’ search mask, you’ll be able to search for all legally effective publications of new registrations and register changes relating to trade marks, patents, designs and supplementary protection certificates (SPCs and paediatric SPCs). If you want to be informed automatically about new publications, you’ll be able to save search queries and set up monitoring. You’ll need a user account to use this function.

You’ll be able to consult active, newly registered and cancelled IP rights in Switzerland via the ‘IP rights’ search mask. This also includes international trade marks protected in Switzerland. Additionally, the database provides information on signs protected in Switzerland and abroad, such as coats of arms and abbreviations.

Fast, user-friendly one-stop shop

Swissreg is easy to search, even for non-experts. Numerous filters help you refine your search. Results appear in next to no time, and the clear design allows you to find your way around quickly.

Applicants, owners and representatives can also access all online services via Swissreg and, for example, apply directly for register changes for their registered IP rights and applications.
