A short consultation with an expert from the IPI can offer you guidance.

 

In a discussion of up to 30 minutes with an IP expert from your technical field, you can ask initial questions relating to protecting your invention. We’ll also be happy to inform you of your options for gaining specific IP knowledge with our wide range of information services.

 

Please note that this service is only available to residents of Switzerland.

 

Typical questions for discussion:

  • What can’t be protected by a patent?

  • Can a plant variety be protected?

  • What are the requirements for filing a trade mark application?

  • What’s a national trade mark?

 

If there’s not enough time for all your questions, we recommend attending our free IP Basic Workshop, using IP Info PLUS or taking the IP crash course.
