IP-Info PLUS

Ask an expert to show you how you can conduct a search yourself to see how your invention fits into the state of the art.

Patents are an important source of information. By searching in patent literature, you can get an overview of the state of the art and also an idea of whether your invention is novel. Searches can also inspire you and introduce you to technical solutions that you may not have thought of.

An expert from your technical field will show you how to search through patent databases yourself.

Typical questions for discussion:

  • How can I get information on the state of the art in my subject area?

  • What databases are freely accessible?

  • What’s a typical search strategy for my technology sector?

  • How can I expand on the search?
