Following the conclusion of the negotiations in the beginning of October 2010, the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property invited interested circles to an information and consultation meeting on ACTA. This took place on 19 November 2010. The discussions referred to the finalised text of the proposed agreement (stand 15 November 15) and were mainly dedicated to participants' questions (in German/French, pdf 117 KB) on ACTA.
This meeting also allowed the Institute to inform the participants on the next steps, including the legal verification of the finalised text and the procedures in view of the signature and the ratification of the proposed agreement by Switzerland.

A second information and consultation meeting for interested circles took place on 14 June 2010 at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property. Like the first information and consultation meeting (see below), the main part of the meeting was dedicated to participants' questions (in German/French, pdf 126 KB) on ACTA.
A further information and consultation meeting will be organised according to the progress made, at the latest before the end of 2010.

As announced on its website following the fifth round of negotiations, the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property invited interested circles to an information and consultation meeting on ACTA. This took place on 14 January 2010 at the Institute (Agenda in German, pdf 32 KB).
At this meeting, the Institute informed participants about the current status of discussions, the themes contained in the draft agreement (specifying those that are not part of the agreement) as well as general information on Switzerland’s position in these negotiations. This meeting also allowed the Institute to answer, where possible, questions and concerns of the interested circles as well as acknowledging possible inputs on certain themes. See participants' questions (pdf 151 KB). In answering certain questions, the Institute indicate that Switzerland supports in principle the publication of a negotiation text. Switzerland thus endorses this position during the internal discussions relating to this issue, which now take place at each ACTA round. The decision to release such a text requires however an agreement by all parties to the negotiations. Switzerland will advocate such a consensus within the ACTA group.
