New information offering from autumn 2024

SMEs, start-ups and inventors don’t just have very diverse innovations and creations: they also have very different requirements in terms of information about intellectual property (IP). So our information offering needs to be just as diverse.

 

We’re therefore expanding it. From the beginning of September 2024, we’ll provide a wide range of new information services.

 

You can look forward to these services

As our offering is modular and largely free of charge, you’ll be able to pick out the specific services you need to exploit your intellectual property rights skilfully and successfully. The new offering comprises:

 

  • IP Info: Specialist telephone consultations with an IPI expert lasting up to 30 minutes;
  • IP Info PLUS: In this individual course, we answer questions about how patent law applies to your invention and show you how and where you can search through freely accessible patent databases yourself;
  • IP Basic Workshop: Regular, compact basic IP Workshops in which you acquire basic knowledge about trade marks, patents and designs;
  • IP Workshops on in-depth topics; and 
  • IP Management: In these courses, a patent attorney shows you by means of examples what is crucial for a good IP strategy.
 

New basic search for people with good IP knowledge

You can still apply for our Assisted Patent Search until 31 August 2024 using our application form. From September, we’ll offer a basic assisted search under the label ‘ip-search’. It will be primarily aimed at people with good to very good IP knowledge. Please note that comparable searches are also offered by other providers of search services.
