Following the Federal Council decision of 20 March 2020, we are writing to inform you about current proceedings during the extraordinary situation.

The Federal Council decided on 20 March 2020 (Press release in German, French or Italian) to extend court holidays in civil and administrative proceedings.

As a result, all time limits for procedures before the IPI are suspended from 21 March to 19 April 2020.

The suspension applies to all time limits that must be observed vis-à-vis the IPI – not only statutory time limits, but also time limits set by the IPI, including payment deadlines.
