In this newsletter, we provide you with information on the measures taken by the IPI in connection with the current extraordinary situation.

The IPI has taken the necessary measures to keep its operations running during the current extraordinary situation and to ensure that procedures are unaffected. We will support applicants and rights holders where possible if they are threatened with procedural disadvantages due to the new coronavirus. In particular, we are granting generous time limit extensions.

The IPI remains closed to visitors until further notice. For the moment, courses will not take place. In urgent cases and if the technical requirements can be met, we can carry out assisted patent searches and assisted patent landscape analyses with customers via an online meeting solution.
